Meet the Team!

Here at Twisted Mesquite Performance Horses, we are committed to growth. We have a passion for improving and growing the horse business as a whole, that includes helping our customers have success and reach their goals. We aim to serve each customer to the fullest of our capability and continuing to improve on that.

We are a married duo team; we were both born and raised in agriculture. Tarron Our head trainer knows what hard work is! At a young age his parents owned and operated a dairy farm, this was where he first got the bug to help improve horses through training. He was given a stubborn pony to ride around on the farm and begin wanting to improve him, this is when he began to study and improve on his own horsemanship.

Tarron's uncle played a vital role as a big influence. He was a skilled horseman that cowboyed and raised many of his own horses. Tarron later on started his first colt at 11 years old, through this experience he learned how important preparation and safety is. Since then, he has continued to learn about the performance horse industry and what's required out of prospects, training, care, and the business. Riding and learning from million-dollar riders in the NRCHA Tarron continues to improve on and learn the true art of horsemanship.

Ally was born into a family that were already involved in the horse industry. Her father was a cutting horse trainer for Lonnie Allsup's at the El Cid ranch in Farewell, Texas. This is where she was first introduced to the performance and show horse world.

Later on, her family moved to the 6666 ranch where her father was a cowboy, and she spent the majority of her childhood. Learning many vital lessons about horses, the breeding industry, and more.

Ally then went on to work for successful large animal veterinarians learning how to care for equines.

After we were married, we both wanted to chase our passion for the horse industry and came together to form Twisted Mesquite Performance Horses.

As a team, we are devoted to creating a world class two-year-old program that will be the foundation for many cow horse champions.
